What is Love?

      "What is LOVE?" a little girl asked her big sister. They were both just sitting at home. The both of them having  long dark hair, both wearing white shirts and was sitting in front of the TV watching the Twilight series.

      "What kind of question is that?" the older sister asked. She never did liked that kind of topics.

      "Oh come on ate. Just answer my question.." her sister said and looked at her intently. They were having a staring contest and like the last they played this game, she LOST. In defeat she sighed and looked at the clock.

     "Okay.." she answered quietly. Her sister smiled and clapped her hands. It took a while, she was just staring at the clock.

     "Go on ate.." her sister said while arms crossed. 

     "Okay.." she said while taking a deep breath and continued. "Well, if you asked your ate way back 2013, she would say that LOVE is everything, all you need in this cruel world is love. It can give you happiness and joy and hope. It will make you feel safe and full of life. LOVE is all you need..."

     With full of amazement her sister said, "Go on ate..."

     She sighed and continued, "Hmmm, if you asked your ate last 2015, she would say that LOVE makes you WEAK. It gives you PAIN, it leaves you devastated. Love makes you FRAGILE, you have all the time in the world, you don't need to waste it on LOVE. All the pain in the world, all MIXED UP TOGETHER just to throw it at you. It makes you DEPRESSED and BROKEN" she stopped and looked at the depressed and broken Bella Swan in pain at the series of  Twilight.

     "Oh... how about now ate, What can you say?" her sister asked in all curiosity. Looking at her intently. She looked at the little girl and smiled.

     "If you ask your ate now... She would say love is a decision. Just like how your father drives, in love, you should know when to accelerate or know when to slow down. And make sure to know when your needed to STOP. Love is a matter of decisions, in love you either make the right or the wise decision. You would know which is which, if you make the RIGHT decision, others are happy but you are NOT or you may think that others are happy but you were 100% WRONG. And if you make the WISE decision, every single one you know, everyone around you is HAPPY. Now if you ask me, love is both using your BRAIN and your HEART. Your heart for showing or making them feel your love and your brain for making those decisions that may change EVERYTHING." she finished and looked away from her sister and looked at the hugging Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

     Then she heard sniffing. She immediately turned her focus on her sister and was shocked to see her crying.

     "Kainis ka ate. I asked you a simple question pero ng drama ka pa..." her sister said while wiping away her tears. She didn't answered.

      They were now back to watching the movie. They were once again talking. But was all about their school.

      They were laughing and then the door clicked.

      "Ate ? Bunso? were home" both their mom and dad entered and hugged them both. And finally they ate their dinner together. Not mentioning the topic earlier to their parents.

      In an abandoned house, there resides a vase. The vase was once filled with colorful flowers which changed  every month. It was once surrounded by the bright sunlight and it was once witnessed the jolly kids of each generation it served in. The vase was once a heirloom of one of the known families in the region. It once stood with beauty and excellence.       The vase resided in the house for centuries, multiple generations had it seen.       Many years passed, the newest generation came, modern times entered and the heirloom was soon forgotten. The once filled with vibrant colorful flowers, the once standing with beauty was now filled with dirt and cobwebs. What was once the epitome of beauty now looks dull and dusty. And as a few more generations pass, the vase was completely forgotten.       In the year 2015, there hit a big storm that struck the beloved home, the family was forced to evacuate and leave behind all things the don't seem to care about anymore.

Dear Waters,

 Hello there, I don't know the purpose or the reason of this. I don't have any possible reasoning as to why my mind made me get up from bed at midnight, a few minutes after your birthday to write this letter that will probably end up in the unsent folder of my laptop. I wish there was a reason. Maybe it was the thought that it was our tradition. Something we did every year when the skies started to rain more, the last month before the Christmas carols surface from the vaults or just the day we ask each other how we are and then a few replies later our conversation disappears.
